Inner Nature Retreat v2
October 12 - 17, 2026
A yoga & nature-immersed meditation retreat
with Cassandra Ferland and Grace Gu in Menorca, Spain
Retreat Overview
In this 6-day, 5-night retreat on the tiny Spanish island of Menorca, we cultivate powerful tools to reconnect with our inner nature. Held by the silence, slowness and natural wonder of this astounding UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, home to more than 75 pristine calas (coves) tucked into wildly diverse terrain, we engage ‘inner’ and ‘outer’ nature — body, breath, senses and spectacular landscapes — to gain access to our innate wisdom, expansive sense of self, and deeper purpose.
Each morning begins with a Flow & Restore class co-caught by Cassandra and Grace in a leafy open-air yoga shala, followed by a gourmet brunch featuring ‘zero km’ foods from the property. In the afternoons, we immerse ourselves in a quiet stretch of Menorcan coastline where mindful hikes (complete with nature-immersed meditations), stunning beaches, and Mediterranean aperitivo are all within reach. In the evenings, we will gather for al fresco sunset dinners filled with laughter and memorable conversations. With attunement and curiosity as our guides, our week will contain copious opportunities for relaxation and spaciousness — as well as surprises ranging from potential boat adventures to hands-on cooking workshops with the island’s best.
Our retreat takes place at a historic property situated on a regenerative 30-acre olive oil farm on Menorca’s soulful eastern coast—minutes away from stunning Mediterranean sunrises and the isle’s famed circuit of coastal footpaths. Beyond its serene outdoor spaces overlooking lavender fields and olive groves, our retreat site also boasts a farm-to-table restaurant led by Michelin-star talent and deep sustainability commitments such as solar water heaters and a green/living water filtration system.

Grace Gu
Cassandra Ferland has spent the last 20 years studying and teaching yoga as a tool for clarity, growth, and artful living. Her training in functional movement and biomechanics informs her approach to the physical, while her breathwork, meditation, and philosophy teachings nudge students toward the subtler aspects of the self. Enamored with travel, Cassandra sees it as a potent practice of ‘dancing with spirit’ as we work to shake off our routines, let go of our best-laid plans, and immerse ourselves in practices that enable us to consciously co-create our own realities. She has led annual yoga retreats since 2012 to places like Portugal, Finland, and Holbox Island, Mexico.
Grace Gu, PhD is an anthropologist, mindfulness researcher and leadership coach on a mission to create compelling nature-immersed practices and experiences that fundamentally shift our paradigms toward a better world. With 600+ hours of training across advanced yoga & meditation, philosophy, restorative, yin, and yoga nidra, she brings a particular passion for the softer side of yoga — as well as a yoga of the senses. She lives in Menorca full-time and delights in consciously sharing its well-guarded secrets.

FAQ
-
What airport do I fly into? Participants will fly into Mahón / Menorca Airport (MAH). There are no direct flights from the U.S., but you may connect through Madrid, Barcelona or another European city via British Airways, Iberia, American and other airlines. Hourly commuter flights leave from Barcelona on Vueling Airlines.
Please note minimum suggested connection times, particularly if you must pass through bag check, security and immigration. Three hours typically allow for a comfortable layover.
Where is the retreat and how do I get to the venue? Venue and destination details are provided upon sign up or inquiry through contact form. A typical taxi to the venue costs 25 to 30€ and takes about 20 minutes. If desired, participants may share their flight and contact details with the group to make carpooling easy.
Should I rent a car? A rental car is fully optional for the retreat program, but those desiring maximum flexibility are welcome to book their own car for the week. Note that driving requires comfort with rotundas and some one-lane local roads. Taxis are available, and most destinations are close (Mahón, the capital city, is a 15 minute drive).
What time should I arrive / depart? Check-in time for our venue is 4 PM on arrival day, Monday, October 12; luggage drop-off and access to the grounds are available starting 12 noon. Rooms are provided as soon as they’re ready. Our program will start between 5-6 PM, followed by a welcome dinner. We’ll confirm exact timing closer to the retreat.
Departure is after brunch on Saturday, October 17, with checkout at 12 PM noon. Please give yourself 1.5 - 2 hours before take-off to check in for your flight.
If you have interest in extending your stay at the venue additional nights, please note this in your booking form or email grace@inwardwithgrace.com.
Should I include other stops on my trip? Participants are highly recommended to visit Madrid, Barcelona, Palma (Mallorca) or other Spanish or European destinations for the long weekend as part of their flight trajectory, either before or after the retreat. Menorca’s historic capital city of Ciutadella as well as towns mid-island also offer a wonderful base for an additional 2-3 nights to further the explore the island.
-
What fitness or experience level do I need for the hiking and meditation? Hikes will be tailored to the fitness and experience level of the group, but will typically range 1-1.5 hrs of easy-paced walking with light to moderate elevation changes. All yoga practice and meditation sessions are open-level and beginner friendly. Let us know in your booking form and confirm on-site if you have injuries, medical restrictions or personal concerns so you can be accommodated.
Are sessions or activities mandatory? No. All sessions are optional; please go at your own pace and in line with your own needs.
What does a typical day look like? Please refer to the description and schedule above. Note that the schedule may shift depending on weather or other considerations.
Is there free time? Yes. Afternoons and evenings allow for customization and free time to rest, reflect or explore solo.
Is there WIFI or cell service? There is cell connectivity and wifi on site, but note that some hikes may take us briefly out of cell range.
Regarding devices and voluntary disconnection, please use your discernment. Our intention is to encourage internal space for presence, intuition and noticing as well as an appreciation of quality time and connection with others.
Are children or non-yoga partners/friends welcome?
We appreciate that there are instances where it makes the most sense for someone to travel with family, or a partner or friend who cannot/does not do yoga.
This is perfectly ok with us! Non-yoga adult participants are offered a 200 EUR discount on the per person rate. Children 3+ have a small fee attached (as per hotel policy) for an extra bed and daily breakfast. Please reach out for more details. -
What should I pack? You’ll receive a full packing list, but generally: light layers, trail runners or hiking shoes, 2 swimsuits, sun protection, a large reusable water bottle (1-1.5L), and a fall coat/jacket and sweater for AM and PM. Wind and rain-resistant gear are recommended to bring as well. Please be prepared for ample outdoor time. The venue is a full-service boutique hotel providing all the usual amenities.
Yoga mats and props are provided by the venue, but feel free to bring any special items for your needs and practice.
What’s the weather like in October? October in Menorca is usually warm and mild with the possibility of some coolness in the early AM/late PM and a fair amount of heat and sun during afternoon hours. Cloud, wind, or rain are not impossible during shoulder season, but if they appear, tend to be be mixed with hours and days of summer-like weather. We’ll advise closer to arrival and adjust any plans or packing recs as needed.
Is it warm enough to swim in October? The water remains relatively warm in October, and the afternoon sun is typically warm enough to make for a beautiful beach or hotel pool day. Weather permitting, there will be plenty of opportunities to get in the water on this retreat.
Do I need cash? 80 - 100 EUR in cash form is recommended for the rare occasions when card or contactless payment is not available (taxis to areas with poor connectivity, market stalls, etc.) In most other circumstances, credit cards (Visa & Mastercard especially) & digital payments are broadly accepted in Spain and Menorca.
-
What meals are included? Daily brunch and 3-course dinner, plus snacks, coffee/tea and filtered water. A considerable volume of extremely high-quality, locally-sourced food are already part of the program, including gastronomy-focused workshops and excursions on some afternoons. A la carte lunch is available for purchase on-site in the venue’s restaurant, and opportunities for island restaurant exploration also abound. There are mini fridges available in every room for any snacks, beverages or food you wish to store.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions? The venue can accommodate vegetarian, pescatarian and other diets as well as most allergies; these must be notified early. Please indicate your needs upon deposit / registration.
Is alcohol included? Alcoholic beverages are generally not included as part of this retreat but are available for purchase on-site and external venues. Wine—a key feature of Spanish and Menorcan gastronomy and culture—may be included in certain activities or workshops, for example, guided tastings. Please be mindful, safe and accountable when it comes to drinking.
-
Is travel insurance required? Yes. All participants must have travel medical insurance (or equivalent coverage) that includes emergency care abroad and evacuation/repatriation. Trip cancellation coverage is strongly recommended.
What if I get sick or injured before or during the retreat? There are no exceptions to the refund and cancellation policy, so please do consider purchasing insurance to cover such unfortunate events. Travel medical insurance is required to provide primary coverage while you are here. The retreat leaders and venue/partner staff can assist in coordinating local medical care, but costs are participants’ full responsibility.
What if weather disrupts an excursion? We’ll substitute with equally enjoyable and compelling experiences where necessary due to weather or other disruptions. Safety is our utmost priority. Note that, given the caprice of island weather, changes to the schedule are to be expected—and constitute much of the unique Menorcan experience!
